Where Should I Go?

The beauty of this is that a date doesn't have to have monetary value for it to be considered a date. Nowadays, everyone thinks of a date as going to that fancy restaurant downtown or shopping in the mall for that new designer bag. People need to shift past this and stop giving in to the trends! Hop in your car with your partner, drive anywhere you want because that's the fun part, then get out and put one foot in front of the other as you embark into perhaps a familiar area or into a new adventure that brings the mysteries ahead. The best part is that even if you don't go anywhere new, it's about the person next to you; it's about the journey rather than the destination.

Where Did You Go?

Kandace and I decided on a dog park. Now at face value, this doesn't sound like the most glamorous place to go for a walk. That's where you'd be wrong though as this place was full of trails we could walk on, see the lake, sit and observe nature, and just relax with no distractions like a phone buzzing or the next TikTok to scroll to, just complete bliss. It allowed us to talk freely about anything and everything from simple stuff as, "Did you see that dog, it was so fluffy!" To, "What's one thing in the future you're hoping happens or doesn't happen?" Now all of this is great as you get to understand you're partner better and I believe everyone should do this, but it's not only good for conversation, but for our bodies as well. This is because when we walk we obviously get vitamin D from the sun which many people lack or don't receive enough of, but walking also causes our brain to push out and release endorphins which is responsible for the good moods you experience. The additional endorphins help us correlate this positive feeling to our partner, which can help strengthen relationships and bring each other closer, a sense that your "spark" is still strong with one another.

Overall

In conclusion, this is something I will continue to do for life and others should do as well. Getting to go on walks is amazing as there are so many benefits for both your health and your relationship, it strengthens every aspect of your life. The best part, it's free! Definitely a 10/10 that others should do more often!
